OPPORTUNITIES: Grants workshop in Kosovo

ECF and the Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture (BIFC) Regional Advice Hub in Ljubljana are organising an information session in Pristina on the BIFC grant scheme, which includes a practical workshop on how to apply for the grant.

This is a great opportunity for organizations working in the Balkans to improve their skills and knowledge on writing grant applications, and to find out what makes a successful BIFC grantee.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, 26 January 2012 at the ODA Theatre, Pallati i Rinisë dhe i Sporteve nr. 111, Pristina, Kosovo.

OPPORTUNITIES: Production grants available for young Arab documentary filmmakers

Young documentary filmmakers from across the Arab world are invited to apply for production grants from BBC Arabic. Deadline to apply: June 30.

Interested applicants must submit information on their film's subject, how they will produce the film, the location and budget, and a summary of the filmmaker and his/her experience. Films must be related to everyday life in Arab societies.

Winning films will be broadcast on BBC Arabic TV.

OPPORTUNITIES: Grants for youth NGOs (CIS)

The National Youth Council of Russia in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, tourism and youth policy of the Russian Federation, the Foundation "Russian world" and the Foundation for international cooperation fives grants for the joint youth projects of youth organizations form Eastern Europe, South Eastern Europe and CIS countries. The aim of the programme is to contribute to the intercultural dialogue between young people from Russia and CIS countries and South Eastern Europe.

Objectives: - to study and support innovative methods of organization of youth, exchanges, internships and projects; - to develop and realize bilateral projects of youth cooperation in the sphere of culture, awareness, non-formal education and public diplomacy; - to develop common information space.

The grants cannot exceed 350.000 rubles (about 7.770€) and can be grants only for joint projects of Russian youth NGOs with youth NGOs from one of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
