NEWS: Online Korean newspaper for children published

Online Korean newspaper for children published
An online newspaper titled 'Mugungnara' (www.mugunghwa.or.kr) for children and teenagers opened last Wednesday in Korea.

A non-profit organisation, Korean Culture Promotion Association, announced it would also publish a namesake monthly magazine, aimed at boosting patriotism among the young generation. The title of the journal means 'everlasting country' in Korean. The newspaper has chosen 325 children or teenager student reporters and carries articles from the young reporters.

'Children reporters will do various reporting activities including interviews with celebrities who work for promoting Korean culture, visits to various historic sites and companies which can imbue young
students with love for our country and motivate them to reflect upon one's identity,' said Kim Young-mann, a general director of the association. 'I hope this newspaper will raise children's awareness about the origin of Korean culture and its roots.'
