There is no doubt over the favourite film of Niitty Rajanummi, 14, from Helsinki: the wall of her bedroom is covered by a huge Hunger Games poster. She came across the books a couple of years ago and since then she has watched all the films.
Now she is eagerly anticipating the latest film based on the third part of the book series.
“They are just so good. I can’t really explain why,” Rajanummi says.
Rajanummi’s use of media has changed over the years. As a toddler she watched cartoons on TV but now she spends time on the internet and playing online games.
These days, the computer has been replaced by a smartphone, which she uses to chat with her friends on the messaging service Whatsapp and to listen to music, mainly Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
“A mobile phone is handy because I always carry it with me.”
