PROJECTS: Narratives for Europe - European Cultural Foundation

Narratives for Europe. Building on our former focus on cultural diversity, Narratives for Europe will be at the core of all our activities. We are excited by this innovative new direction, and we feel that together with our partners we can make a meaningful contribution that matters.

Just as Europe is immensely diverse, so there is no single overarching European narrative, but a multitude of personal, compelling, community-building stories. If told and listened to, these narratives can help counter negative trends and shape Europe positively now and in the future. We are listening, but not only to the loudest voices: we want unheard voices to be heard, to echo across Europe and connect with the spheres of political influence.

We have chosen this theme from the experience we have of longstanding and close cooperation with our cultural, artistic and policy partners. And because, in a Europe claiming greater cohesion and meaning, we feel that the time is right.
