PROJECTS / FESTIVALS: Moving Baltic Sea

After quite a long period of silence, Moviemiento proudly has a new project to announce - for those of you who haven't heard. At the beginning of July, the travelling film and environment festival Moving Baltic Sea sets sail! Moving Baltic Sea is an international project
initiated by Moviemiento in cooperation with film and environmental partners in six cities, five countries respectively.

We want to invite you to join us at our festival stops - come and watch "Stories from the Seaside" short films open-air, join comic and graffiti workshops, a sailing regatta with a dragon boat, let environmental topics inspire you as a filmmaker in a 48-hour film
contest, write articles or take pictures with the European magazine Plotki, find out about pollution in the Baltic Sea and what you can do about it in panel discussions, party, and meet new people who share an interest in crossing borders and making changes.

At each festival stop, the ?Moving Baltic Sea? partner network has put together unique four-day festival programmes:
Festival stops are:

July 4th - 7th: Rostock
July 11th-14th: Gdansk
July 19th - 22nd: Kaliningrad
July 31st - August 3rd: Riga
August 9th - 12th: Narva-Jõesuu (Estonia)
August 21st - 24th: St. Petersburg

Some workshops require registration. Please see our website www.movingbalticsea.org for details or mail to festival@movingbalticsea.org if you have any questions.

Moviemiento also has a special screening at the Fusion Festival (www.fusion-festival.de) again this year on Saturday, July 28th, we will be showing a short film programme for kids and adults, open-air.

Keep moving!

The Moviemiento Team
