Within the framework of the Youth Media Center, and in the context of empowering youth in multi-media, ARCPA/ AL-JANA is pleased to invite you to a workshop in “Scoring for Feature Video”.

 

It is conducted by the media expert Mr. Khaled Sabsabi

 

The topics covered will be:

 

1. Sound Basics

2. Terminology, TERMS and DEFINITIONS

3. Digitizing Sound

4. Sampling

5. Quantization

6. Common Sampling Rates and Bit Depths

7. File Types, File Sizes, and Compression Methods

8. Audio / Video Recording and Importing

9. Audio editing including processing / effects

10. Audiovisual synchronisation

11. MIDI

12. Mixing and referencing

13. Mastering and Rendering

 

The workshop will be held at the Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts/ AL-JANA during the month of March 2008. It will last for 10 days, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). It begins on March 10^th and ends on the 21^st, 9:30 am to 4 pm. It is preferable that the participants have basic background or participated in media workshops previously.
