UNESCO's global operation to promote gender equality in the media, will be launched for the eighth year on International Women's Day on March 8.

The campaign encourages news media to give the editorial responsibility to women journalists on that day.'Women's Untold Stories' is this year's theme. In most countries, the way women are portrayed has not changed much despite an increase in the number of women working in the media.
