 “Critical Media Workshop”

 

Within the framework of the Youth Media Center activities, and in the context of empowering youth in multi-media, The Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts/AL-JANA is pleased to inform you about a workshop in “Critical Media”.  This workshop will be a preparation phase for the “Jana International Film Festival for Children & Youth” which will take place in Tripoli involving Lebanese and Palestinian children and youth in a joint activity.

 

It is conducted by the media expert Hauvick Habe’eshyanne.

 

The topics to be covered:

-       Keys to Media understanding from the Technical, Functional and historical Points of view.

-       Criteria for assessing and critiquing films.

-       The Essence and purpose of cinema an overlook about its history and progress.

 

The workshop will be held at the Beit Al-Fan/Tripoli during the month of March 2008.

It will last for 6 days. It begins on March 7^th 2008.
