Award for Moldavian young journalists
Youth Media Centre was awarded for remarkable successes in developing youth media network from Moldova. The event was part of the Youth National Day 2006.
A diploma for honor and 5,000 lei were offered by Victor Tvircun, Minister of Education and Youth on 11th of November during the Concert for Youth in the Central Square of Chisinau.  At youth participation category the Network of Resource Centers for Youth and Network of Local Youth Councils also were awarded. 
It?s an honor for Youth Media Network to be high appreciated by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. Actually, the award is for the 800 young people from Moldova involved in youth media projects. We foreseen youth high interest and active participation in media activities, but this year results exceeded our expectations. We hope to be supported by the ministry and by the local public administration to promote further youth voices, mentioned Polina Panainte, activity coordinator at Youth Media Centre.
Youth media Network was created in 2006 by Youth Media Centre with the support of UNICEF Moldova. In present the network gathers 75 school newspapers, 27 school radio stations and 6 Media Studios for Youth.
