CALL FOR ENTRIES: Entries open for Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award for Television

The ABU and partners are calling on broadcasters and producers to submit entries for the 2014 Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award for Television.

The prize, sponsored by ABU, UNICEF and CASBAA, is given each year to the best television programming on children’s rights produced in the Asia-Pacific region. It recognises the efforts of broadcasters and producers in pursuing high quality children’s programming and better coverage of children’s issues.

ABU Secretary-General Dr Javad Mottaghi said the award had established itself as a major driver for quality children’s program production in the region, while UNICEF Regional Chief of Communication Christopher de Bonos said: “This award recognises the fantastic contribution that the TV industry in the Asia-Pacific region makes to raising awareness of children’s rights.
