The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) will host a discussion with one of the newest players on the digital mediascape, Amazon Studios, at its upcoming Children, Youth & Media (CYM) conference on November 13, in Toronto.
Amazon Studios is Amazon.com's division that develops comics, movies and television shows from online submissions and crowd-sourced feedback. Shooting scripts, creative concepts, pilot program reviews and more are solicited online.
The content is intended for distribution through Amazon Instant Video, the retail giant’s new digital video streaming service.
Tara Sorenson, formerly of National Geographic Kids and now head of kids programming at Amazon Studios, along with two creators whose series are currently in production, will share their vision and approach to youth content during the three-day CYM conference.
