Sunday 25 Apr 2010 - Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) has won the Golden Award for the best medium length film for ‘Baghdad’s Angel’ at the Al Jazeera 6th International Documentary Film Festival which ended on Thursday. The 52-minute documentary, produced by Rasheed Mashharawi, portrays the life of children in Iraq through Hawraa, a 10-year-old girl who walks the streets begging for support for her family.The film illustrates the influence of war and conflicts on the lives of children.
