PUBLICATIONS: "Kids Online: Opportunities and Risks for Children"

EU Kids Online is delighted to announce the publication of its new book, "Kids Online: Opportunities and Risks for Children". This provides an up to date account of how children use the internet in Europe, including such topical issues as social networking, risky contacts, parental mediation, media literacy and many more.

Book ordering information is available here: http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/EUKidsOnline/KidsOnlineflyer.pdf <http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/EUKidsOnline/KidsOnlineflyer.pdf>

As Professor Tanya Byron says, "Professor Livingstone and colleagues provide extensive evidence-based findings which enable academics, educationalists, policy makers, parents and young people to think beyond anxieties generated by new technologies and make informed decisions about maximizing digital opportunities while managing risks. An impressive and essential book, central to the child digital safety debate."

We hope that you will stay in touch with our new project - a major pan-European survey of children and parents regarding children's online use, risks and safety.

The new project is getting together a fresh mailing list, so if you haven't already, please join our mailing list here: http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/EUKidsOnline/MailingList.htm <http://www.lse.ac.uk/collections/EUKidsOnline/MailingList.htm> . In future, we will only contact those on the mailing list so be sure to join to receive project updates and early findings. Feel free to pass on this message to others who may be interested in our work, and thanks!

All the best, the EU Kids Online network
