Organisers of the Showcomotion Young People’s Film Festival in Sheffield have extended the deadline for submissions until Thursday 9 April, giving film makers another two weeks to send their films for selection.

The festival is also confirming two new short animation awards for the 2009 festival, both sponsored by FILMCLUB. The FILMCLUB @ Showcomotion Animation Award is for short animations suitable for ages 4-7 years and The FILMCLUB @ Showcomotion Animation Award is for short animations suitable for ages 7-11 years. There is a cash prize of 1000 GBP for each AWARD.
