Sixth Videotivoli searching for films
International children’s and young people’s film event Videotivoli is again looking for films made by children and young people of age 16 or under from all over the world. The maximum length for a film is 10 minutes. There are no restrictions to the style or the subjects of the films. Films can be for example animation, documentary, music videos, art, or fiction.
The purpose of Videotivoli is to give children under 16 years of age a chance to show their works to public. Videotivoli is from children to children and from young people to young people. It is also from organizations to organizations. The event provides an international forum for like-minded people to interact and is a refreshing opportunity to practice media education.
The event consists of international screenings and also Nordic and Baltic countries’ Kids For Kids competition. In Kids For Kids films compete in three different categories, which are animation, live action (arts) & documentary, and one-minute films. The best films take part in the international Kids For Kids festival in Southern Europe in fall 2009.
Videotivoli is held annually during Tampere Film Festival. It is arranged by Pirkanmaa Film Centre together with Tampere Film Festival. Last year the event received over 500 entries from all over the world.
Deadline for all films is November 15th. Rules and entry form can be found from Videotivoli’s web page at www.videotivoli.fi
