Children and Youth Film Festival Just Film (JF) is a sub-festival of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Films for young audiences have been shown in the side programmes of the Black Nights Film Festival since its foundation with great success until a specialised competitive festival for children and young people was created in 2001.

The 8th edition of JF includes competitive sections of children's films and youth films as well as non-competitive programmes, retrospectives and special presentations. Most popular special programme is called StreetCULTure. The latter consists of both fiction and documentary films that tackle the topics of modern subcultures among young people. Besides entertaining, the whole film programme intends to offer food for thought, showing joys and hardships of young people around the world and contemporary subject matters, providing the Estonian youth an insight to the multiculturalism of the globalising world.

International competition programme that includes up to 30 films in two sections is expecting the following entries:

• full-length (+52 min) films for young audiences;

• premiered after 1 January, 2007;

• recommended screening format 35 mm.

Competing films are judged by two separate juries of local children and young people.

- Children's jury prize for the best children's film;

- Youth jury prize for the best youth film;

- Audience award for the best film.
