Young journalism educators in Eastern Europe or Central Eurasia have until June 10 to apply to be part of a two-week “summer school” in Armenia which will aim to raise the professional skills of participants on new media and methods of application of new media in teaching.
The “Training Journalism for the New Media Environment” summer school, organized by the International Center for Journalists, is being held July 7 to 19 in Yerevan, Armenia. Up to 21 selected participants will gain a deeper knowledge of the journalism profession and mass media, as well as challenges brought on by the digitization of newsrooms.
Applicants must be under 35, employed by a university and have a working knowledge of English or Armenian. All costs will be covered by the organizers, the International Center for Journalists and the Higher Education Support Program of Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation.
