The 25th edition of BUFF - the International Children and Young People's Film Festival - is in full swing since last Monday in Malmö until Saturday March 15, with a programme of over 100 films and a Financing Forum growing in popularity.

Natasha Arthy's Fighter opened BUFF last Monday and is one of eight youth films competing for the Euros 5,500 main festival award. Among the eight children films competing are Sweden's Little Ghost Laban by Lasse Persson and Butterflies by Kjell Åke Andersson, Denmark's The Lost Treasure of the Knights Templar 3 by Giacomo Campeotto and Norway's The Ten Lives of Titanic the Cat by Grethe Bøe.

Parallel to the festival, BUFF is hosting its second Financing Forum (March 13-15). Ten international financiers have been invited to discuss the eight European projects: Ralf Ivarsson (Film i Skåne, Sweden), Aude Capra (Delphis Film, Canada), Helder Dacosta (Tropical Storm Entertainment, Brazil), Christian Zipperle (Schmidtz Katze Filmkollektiv, Germany), Wigbert Moschall (MDC International, Germany), Thomas Roger (Cinestar, Sweden), Per-Erik Svensson (Filmpool Nord, Sweden), Lone Korslund (Nordisk Film, Denmark), Petra Holm (YLE, Finland) and Andrzej Roman-Jasiewicz (Polish Filmmakers Association).
