New center trains educational eye on an electronic world
NEW YORK (AP) _ Taking an electronic page from the children's television classic "Sesame Street," the show's producer is launching a new effort to make computer games, cell phones and other digital media more educational.The new Joan Ganz Cooney Center, unveiled Thursday, aims "to catalyze and support research, innovation and investment in digital media technologies to advance children's learning," according to its Web site.
