The Gambia Radio and Television Services, GRTS has finally recieved the 2006 Regional Award announced earlier in November 2006 for presenting the best work produced for the 2005 International Children's Day of Broadcasting (ICDB).

The ceremony took place at the Academy's 34th International Emmy Awards on November 20, 2006 at the Hilton Hotel in New York. The International Children's Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) award is co-presented annually by UNICEF and The International Academy of Televisions Arts & Science.
