Accent on media role in information age

CHENNAI: Yuva Shakthi, a non-political, voluntary organisation, the Media Science department of the Anna University and the youth wing of the Red Cross of the University organised a seminar on `Youth and Media' here on Monday.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, vice chancellor of the Anna University D.Viswanathan said the media played a very important role in the information age. "The media caters to the needs of different sections of society," he said.
