Media Participation is a Right of the Child
Local reporters in Mugla discussed ways to create a child-friendly media during the Children's rights reporting training program held by Turkey-Unicef and BIA². They decided to launch projects to allow children to have their voices heard in the media.

BİA (Mugla) - "Establishing a Countrywide Network in Turkey for Monitoring and Covering Media Freedom and Independent Journalism" BIA² project by he IPS Communications Foundation and the Turkey - Unicef (United Nations Children's Fund) organized the sixth of the training seminar series on Reporting on Children's Rights in Mugla on March 4-5.
A total of 29 local reporters from nine different provinces attended the training at the Hamle Hotel in Akyaka.
The reporters, through presentations, workshops and case studies, discussed the possibilities of creating a child-friendly media and enabling children's participation in the media.
